The Parashade 2.1m Square Cantilever umbrella is an exclusive luxury offset style umbrella that boasts a minimalist style. It has 3 international patents and is hand-crafted in South Africa.

The Parashade is ideal for both commercial applications where mobile shade and aesthetics is highly valued as well as for discerning home-owners. This umbrella is maintenance free and has a stunning modern design which is a breeze to operate.

Fabric

The canopy is manufactured using Cederbrook’s PROOF RANGE which uses solution dyed polymers, both polyester and acrylic. This is made by adding pigment to molten polymer which is spun into thread. This results in a fabric where the colour lies evenly through the cross section of the fibre instead of only the outer layer.

The advantage of solution dyed polymer is that it has a much greater resistance to fading and that the action of fading is minimised which results in little to no colour change for long periods of time.

Cederbrook fabric also has greater stretch than other conventional outdoor fabric so that it sits nicely on the umbrella frame. It is treated with a fluorocarbon which gives it a water, oil, and soil repellent finish and allows it to dry faster, making it easier to keep clean. It is also mildew-resistant.

Frame

A Parashade frame is anodised aluminium which makes it rust-resistant. The arms have been manufactured with custom-extrusion anodised aluminium for extra strength and feature Gust Busta arm ends.

Gust Busta arms are designed to help the umbrella tolerate wind in the case of an unexpected gust.

We always recommend closing the umbrella if it becomes too windy or when it is not being supervised and advise that wind damage is not accepted under warranty.

Base

We have improved the Parashade base! The new base comes flat-packed for easy installation. It takes 6 standard pavers to create the ballast weight it needs to remain stable. It features stainless steel castors which are strong and lockable – simply release the locks, position the umbrella where you want it, and lock them into place!

Warranty

The Parashade 2.1 has a three year manufacturer’s warranty in commercial applications and five years in domestic. Please note that wind damage is not covered under warranty.
