What is a Parashade umbrella?
The Parashade is a revolutionary new minimalist cantilever concept umbrella which features a radial opening action. To open the umbrella, push out one arm 180 degrees, then do the same for the second arm – latch them together and your umbrella is open!
Do you have umbrellas in stock?
We do our best to keep all colours and sizes in stock and available to purchase online. If a certain size or colour is not available on the website, give us a call and we can check our stock.
What maintenance does the Parashade umbrella require?
These umbrellas require little to no mechanical maintenance under standard operating conditions. To keep them looking their best, it is recommended to clean it from time to time.
How do I clean the canopy?
You can use a soft brush to sweep the canopy or mild soapy water in order to clean dirt off of the canopy before it becomes embedded but do not use industrial strength cleaners. We recommend testing your washing method on the removable protection cover before cleaning the canopy.
Should a deeper wash be required, the canopy can be removed and washed in a washing machine using mild washing powder on a cold wash but we don’t recommend doing this frequently.
How do I clean my umbrella’s frame?
You can clean the Parashade’s anodised aluminium frame by using a soft cloth with mild detergent.
What colours do the canopies come in?
Our full range of colours are available on the product page for the Parashade.
Can you supply branded umbrellas for commercial purposes?
Yes! Get in touch for a quote or for more information.
What about bases?
The Parashade has a two piece 40kg base.
Must I use the protective cover provided with my umbrella?
We always recommend using the complimentary protection cover when the umbrella is not in use
Can a Parashade umbrella be left open when unattended?
While the Parashade is very durable and can withstand high winds, it should not be left unattended or open in windy conditions as the wind cannot be predicted and it is possible that they may knock your umbrella over or whip the canopy around which could be dangerous. We strongly recommend always covering the canopy with the protection cover when not in use.
What happens if my umbrella gets damaged?
Replacement parts are readily available for purchase and we can provide repair instructions which can be easily carried out by any competent handyman. Alternatively, we can repair the umbrella for you.
Can I use the Parashade in the wind?
We do not recommend using the Parashade umbrella in high winds as they are unpredictable and may damage your umbrella. Please note that wind damage is not covered by the manufacturer's warranty.
What is covered by the manufacturer's warranty?
The Parashade is guaranteed against factory defects for 3 years. This means that in the rare occasion that your umbrella fails due to any defect in the manufacturing process, it will be repaired or replaced free of charge. Please note that wind damage is not covered by this warranty.
Do you have a retail outlet?
Yes, we have a retail store in Ingleburn, NSW with a show room. We are open on weekdays between 9am – 4:30pm.
